Welcome
Hello my name is John-Thomas Richard, I was born and raised in Southwestern Wisconsin. I first developed my interested in clay during my sophomore year of college at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. I graduated with a degree in Art and American History. After graduating, I spent two years working and developing a portfolio for graduate school. I attended graduate school at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas and graduated with a MFA in Ceramics, Secondary in Metals Jewelry. After grad school, I moved to Cedar Rapids, IA for a residency with the Iowa Ceramic Center and Glass Studio. I stayed in Cedar Rapids after the residency and I have taught multiple 3D classes at Kirkwood Community and Mount Mercy University. I have also been the Gallery director at Janalyn Hanson White Gallery at Mount Mercy for ten years.
